Sanderson Farms Processing Plant

This project included $126.5 million in new facilities located on three sites in Kinston, NC. The facility sites include a poultry processing plant, a hatchery and feed mill. Stroud Engineering provided design surveys, site civil engineering, and environmental permitting services for all three sites as a sub consultant to Chas N. Clark Associates, Ltd.; and as a consultant to Todd & Sargent, Inc., a design-build contractor. Services provided by Stroud Engineering included:

• Site plan for all three sites
• Grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control plan for all three sites
• Storm water management plan for the processing plant and the hatchery site for compliance with the Neuse River rules
• 404 wetlands mapping and permitting for the feed mill site
• Water and sewer utility plan for the feed mill site
• 401 water quality permitting for the feed mill site
