Mr. Stroud, founder of Stroud Engineering, began his endeavor as a small business owner with the belief that a successful business could be built by helping others achieve success.  That belief has built Mr. Stroud a business and personal reputation as a knowledgeable and trustworthy individual in the engineering industry.

Following graduation from NC State University in 1966, Mr. Stroud worked for two years as a project engineer for the U. S. Forest Service in planning and design and served in the U. S. Air Force as an engineering officer for four years.  Since founding Stroud Engineering in 1972, he has acted in a leadership role in all types and all aspects of site development projects.  His strengths are team organization, leadership and quality control gained from acting as prime consultant on a vast array of site planning and design projects.  He has spent his entire career in a leadership role in planning and development of sites in the unique environment of eastern North Carolina.

Mr. Stroud has extensive professional experience in civil design for water supply, treatment, storage, distribution and disposal; wastewater collection and treatment; land planning; subdivision design; stormwater management; and environmental permitting.  Although Mr. Stroud still performs as a designer, his primary role within the company is acting as a project team leader and providing quality control and support for other civil designers in our company.
