Project: Monterey Shores Ocean Outfall

Client: Carolina Water Service Inc. of NC
Location: Atlantic Ocean Offshore from Currituck County Outer Banks

Stroud Engineering is currently providing engineering services related to the construction of an ocean outfall pipeline for discharge of brine waste from a proposed reverse osmosis water treatment plant.  The pipe line is proposed to be installed by directional bore 15 feet below the ocean floor to a discharge point approximately 2,000 feet offshore at approximately 18 feet of water depth.  Stroud’s responsibilities include:

• NPDES permitting
• CAMA permitting
• Final construction plans and documents
• Hydrographic surveying
• Construction staking
• Contract administration and inspection
